Claire Storey: Heaven Road

My Music

Some time ago, I recorded an album called '20 Songs ', taking advantage of the brilliant source of actor musicians I was lucky enough to have met when I was doing Buddy. It was recorded by Martin Fisher at his studio in Islington and most of the tracks were arranged by Gus Glen, who played and sang on them as well.

I'm really happy to have such a fantastically produced album and I have many happy memories of the times we spent in the studio, eating french fancies and recording harmonies.

I was still gigging at the time and got picked up by a publishing company, who introduced me to Kezi Silverstone. Kezi has just released her first album 'Whatever It Takes', which has a track on it which we co-wrote called 'Eyes To See'.

And I got a song (Heaven Road) released on an album called 'Red Hot Summer', which was a freebie from Red Magazine in 2003 which garnered quite a lot of interest.(Garnered, is that even a word?) Other artists on the CD were Groove Armada, Bill Withers and the Isley Brothers. You can sometimes still find it on ebay!.

There's also another track 'Tearless Friend' on a French album released for Valentine's day a few years back. You can buy it here. The reviewer at Amazon calls it ' la mauvaise pop de Claire Storey'. Now, my French isn't that good but I don't think it's a compliment. Perhaps you could add another review?

Buy it

If you're stuck for a stocking filler this Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day why not buy the album? I'm still very proud of it and think it still sounds pretty snazzy, even after all these years. I've called the album 'Heaven Road', just because I had to call it something. You can get it from Amazon, Itunes and CD Baby.
